Congratulates
The Latina Golfers Association Los Angeles Chapter on an outstanding
event.  We look forward to assisting in developing a Chapter of the Latina
Golfers Association of the Inland Empire very soon.
KTLA's Lynette Romero presented 17 year-old Angela Villela and her father
Gus Villela with a certificate of recognition for being one of three Mexican
American girls playing golf in the amateur golf circuit.
Professional golf instructors Jerry Herrera and Greg Puga provided insight
about the game of golf from a Latino professional's perspective. Puga was
the 2000 U.S. Mid Amateur Golf Champion who was invited to play in the
U.S. Masters Open in 2001.
Door prizes were abundant and auctions were held for a Callaway Driver donated
by Roger Dunn and a Scottie Cameron head-cover donated by Angela Villela.
What to wear and not wear on a golf course was demonstrated through a
golf-attire style show with models Ena Alcaraz, Julie Baez, Ana Cubas, Kenia
Davalos, Ingrid Maples, Ana Maria Ruiz, and Rachel Yanez.
